To our pal @FrugalDougal.
You were the first one to introduce us to the #pawpawties -- about three years ago.
Back then it was just @JinJinDoggy and @PixelDoggy.
You taught us what it means to help support the helpless rescue animals around the world and to do it with joy.
You taught us how to Barktend and to Beg for tips -- all of which went to help support those furry friends.
You taught us graciousness and gentleness and humor as we entered this amazing anipal world.
This world is a much better place for having you and your amazing Mom Lynn in it.
You will always be in our hearts dear Dougal.
All our love furever,
Pixel, Otis & #AngelJinny

A Gift for Robyn Harton & GeorgeTheDuck
Dear Anipals, I have posted the chip-in link to help GeorgeTheDuck 's amazing and wonderful Typist Robyn. She is in dire financial need. Her amazing Jewelry business http://www.crystalsandjewelry.com/index.html is not doing so well.In fact, her business is down almost 70% - partly because she isn't well enough to work the 10+ hours a day as she had been doing and partly just due to our poor economy.
Everyone who's ever been to a #pawpawty and/or #nipclub knows how tirelessly Robyn & George work to help others in need. Now it's our turn to help her.
You can donate on the chip-in here and you can buy her fabulous jewelry. You can also donate some of her jewelry as prizes during the next #pawpawty.
Please read MarioDaCat 's great bloggy for more on this story http://mariodacat.blogspot.com Also please RT if you see our tweets and if you are so inclined you could add this chip-in page to your own bloggy.
Thank you all. PS. I am sorry I cannot seem to get these linky's to work, so you'll need to cut and paste. I'm technologically bloggy challenged!

Our Friend MarioDaCat has posted this important message:
Here's from Mario's Boggy:
"The Animals in the Birmingham, Alabama area need our help as so many are suffering because of the terrible tornado destruction on April 28 and 29. A blogging friend who is a veterinarian in Rochester, New York at http://www.henriettahosp.com/ sent me the following message:
"I spoke with a very dear friend of mine, Jacqueline Meyer, Executive Director of the Greater Birmingham Animal Shelter...The livestock in Alabama have been devastated...... they need help for those surviving and need medical attention...help building temporary shelters etc.
she said the situation is as bad as Katrina...
Here is the link to GBAS donation page...I assure you, this is a worthy organization. Help The Farm Animals in the Greater Birmingham, Alabama Suffering From Tornado Devastation. "
Pals, the situation is bad in our southern states pals. We pulled together to help the animals in New Zealand and Japan after the major earthquakes, and also for Australia after the major flooding. Can you now spare a few more $$ to help the animals in the northern Alabama area (which was hit the hardest of our southern states). If you tweet or blog, please help with broadcasting the link to the Animal Shelter. You don't even have to braodcast the link to my blog - just the donation link:
(You may have to copy/paste this linky cuz I'm havin truble puttin it on my bloggy)
Here it is anyway: http://www.gbhs.org/site/PageServer?pagename=gbhs_home
Thanks pals - you always come through when he chips are down."

My Name
Mama has been looking and looking. She finally found the Wikipedia description of my name. It's pretty funny considering I'm a Jewish doggy, but that is what my original Daddy named me. Here it is:
Jinn (Arabic: جن jinn, singular جني jinnī; variant spelling djinn) or genies are supernatural creatures in Arab folklore and Islamic teachings which occupy a parallel world to that of mankind. Together, jinn, humans and angels make up the three sentient creations of Allah. According to the Qur’ān, there are two creations that have free will[citation needed]: humans and jinn. Religious sources say barely anything about them; however, the Qur’an mentions that jinn are made of smokeless flame or "the fire of a scorching wind".[1] Like human beings, the jinn can also be good, evil, or neutrally benevolent.[2]
Pixel agrees that describes me perfectly!

Tribute To the Beautiful Tez - A Letter by his Mama.
My dear, lovely friends,
Well, it is now a week since we last saw Tez, and whilst I realise that this is not too long in comparison to other cats' disappearances, I feel I owe it to you all to be honest and let you know my true feelings here.
I have had the joy of living with Tez for over sixteen years, and in that time, I have developed a very strong, almost psychic, connection with him. I have spent a lot of time over these last few days, sitting quietly and “tuning in” to him and I have to tell you that the sense I get is that Tez has chosen this to be his time to cross the Rainbow Bridge. I know that this is upsetting – I'm crying as I write – but in actual fact, the reason that I sense this, is very positive...I get absolutely no sense of Tez being injured, or lost, or trapped, or scared, or in any kind of danger; the only sense I get is one of deep peace and contentment.
Let's not forget, Tez is 16 years old, which is the equivalent of an 80 year old person. As most of you know, he had been ill a couple of weeks ago with gastroenteritis which he seemed to recover fully from, but I'm wondering if the stress of going the vets every day (and he hated going in the car), having to be force-fed and all the antibiotics & other meds he had to take actually had a more damaging effect than we realised. At the end of the day, he wasn't used to it...previous to that, do you know how many times in 16 years we had to take Tez to the vets because he was ill? Answer...none. He quite literally was never, ever ill and I don't know about you, but if I get to 80 years old and never ail for anything, then I'll be more than happy.
Please don't think for a minute that we are giving up on Tez. His dad and I will be out searching and shouting for him for a long, long time yet and I hope and pray that he'll come strutting through the door and prove me wrong here, but the special bond that we have always shared feels to be gently telling me that he knew it was his time to take himself off somewhere peaceful and drift into his forever sleep...and also reassuring me that he's very happy about it.
The other sense I get is that Tez sees absolutely no reason why this should stop him tweeting. Lots of anipals tweet from over the Rainbow Bridge, and whilst I am a bit reluctant just yet to add Tez to this wonderful group of furriends...because, obviously, we don't know for sure...I think that the sensible, mature and practical thing to do here, is to acknowledge that Tez has, in fact, been abducted by the most loving, friendly and intelligent aliens (!!). Tez will be coming back very soon to tweet as himself, but rather than as a “16 year tabby boy etc” he will be “The Intergalactic Cat of Mystery” which, I think we can all agree, suits him to a tee. More to the point, he will now be playing a stronger role in helping all anipals and their humans whenever they need it – his mission (which is why he was abducted and has been in training for the last week) is to work for the greater good of all animals, the world over. He will be there to help, support, comfort, heal, problem-solve, trouble-shoot, or simply to lend an ear for anyone at all who needs it. And, of course, it goes without saying, he will be hanging out with his beloved mousecateer buddies and all his other wonderful furriends, getting drunk with Leo, going to pawties, weddings, nipclub etc etc.
If anyone is familiar with the Law of Attraction, you'll know that this states that if we want to attract something into our life, then we should act as though we already have it so, who knows, perhaps by stopping seeing Tez as “missing” this might be the very thing that brings him back into our lives – if he is still just wandering about somewhere. And if not, well, we will still have brought him back, just in a different, better guise, and this should help us in feeling less sad and upset all the time...which Tez would definitely not want.
I do hope that I've expressed myself OK here, and that this makes sense. TabbyTezTweets lives on in determination to have an even more pawsitive effect on the world and his many furriends. Words could never express how grateful I am to this amazing Twitter community, and I hope that by becoming more active in helping wherever possible, Tez and I can, in some way, pay it forward. Bethany and Mishka will be opening their own Twitter account soon, too – so we are all united and happy together again.
If anyone wants to contact me, please do feel free to DM, or mail me at jinnyibiza@gmail.com.
Sending you all our love,
Jinny & Tez

Once Upon a time - JinJin's Story
Here we are when our Mama adopted us. My doggy mama Blaze (on the left) was 9 & I was only 3! That was almost 11 years ago. Our Uncle gave us a lil fur cut before he brought us to our new home so I look VERY shiny!
The story is that our original Daddy adopted Blaze when she was a puppy and he loved her very much. We don't know how it happened, but somehow a boy doggy got into his yard and then, THERE I WAS (along with 6 brothers & sisters). Luckily, he found good furrever homes for all the puppies, but he kept me 'cause I looked so much like my DoggyMama. Daddy, Blaze and I lived happily in a house near the beach until I was about 3 years old. Sometimes a really nice lady & friend of our Daddy would visit us and she would play ball with us. (Our favorite game). Then one day our Daddy got sick. We didn't know what was happening, but lots of people came to visit and Daddy spent lots of time in his bed. Everybody was talking but nobody was smiling. We kept hearing a word, Cancer, but we didn't know what it meant. The nice lady came and petted us, but she looked sad. Next thing we knew there were some sirens and our Daddy was gone. Nice neighbors & our Uncle came to feed us and play with us a little. Everybody had leaky eyes. We were both sad, we missed our Daddy and we didn't know what was going to happen to us.
Well, our Uncle came one day very soon after Daddy was gone and he gathered up all our toys and took us for a ride in his car. First we went to get all washed & clipped and then the most amazing thing happened. He took us to a new house, with a yard and guess who we saw waiting for us? Yup, it was the nice lady that used to visit us and play ball with us. We were so happy to see her that we both jumped up on her and licked her face. She told us that she loved us very much and that she was our new Mommy!

JinJin's 14th Birthday
I made it! I'm 14! Last summer when I was so sick Mom wasn't sure I'd still be here, but here I am, still prancing around and being the boss of everybody. Here's what happened: One day I woke up and would not eat. - Me who will eat anything, anytime, anywhere refusing to eat! I also would not move much. Mama was very worried and took me to the vet. He did lots of tests. Days passed and I was not better. Finally the vet said I had to go to hospital. They did an MRI (whatever that is) and said I had a BURST GALL BLADDER! M & D asked the vet if they could save me. The vet said that at my age, there was a 20% chance I would not even survive the surgery. If I did survive that, tho, I had a good chance of getting better. He said if I didn't have the surgery, I'd be gone. Mama was crying, but they told the surgeon to go ahead and try. She held my head and looked me straight in the eyes and told me that I had to come back to her. I understood. Then they left me there and a nice lady walked me to a little spot they had for me with a bed and a bowl of water. Next thing I knew, they took me into another room with lots of lights and doctory looking stuff & they shaved my tummy and my paw & put something there & then I fell asleep.
When I woke up oh my did my tummy hurt. Yikes! But the nurses were very nice to me and gave me some pills to feel better. Usually I don't like pills, but I didn't care, I just wanted to feel better. I slept for a while and then they took me into a room and there were Mama & Daddy! Oh I was happy to see them, but I still hurt alot. It was hard to settle down so they could pet me. I had some rubber thing attached to my tummy and tubes still in my paw. Mama was crying again and I wanted to tell her "See, I made it Mama". They both left after a little while and I went back and slept some more. By the next day I felt a little better but I still wouldn't eat. M & D came twice that day & gave me lots of love and tried to feed me. M & D were still coming twice a day 2 see me & talk to me and finally after a few more days I got hungry and started eating. Then the vet took all the tubes out, put a big cone on my head and sent me home. Boy, was I happy to be home again. , Mama was still worried about me and she told me that I couldn't see Pixel for a while because she's so big she might accidentally hurt my sore tummy. So, there I was spending what felt like forever by myself in the laundry room with that big cone on my head and stitches in my tummy. I barked and barked & Mama had to come and sit with me. She told me that all my furriends on twitter were sending their love and healing prayers for me. Some pals were even planning a caper to rescue me from the laundry room! That made me laugh.
Finally they took me back to the hospital, I got my stitches out and I WAS FREE! Free to play with Pixel again, free to go on walkies and free from that humiliating CONE!
So after that, I think I love M & D even more. They spoil me now and I get special attention all the time. The thing is, whenever Mom reads about one of my anipals on twitter becoming ill or crossing the RB, she gets an extra little stab in her tummy, knowing that she came so close to losing me.

Honest Scrap Award
JINNY: M figured out how to post the Icon so here we go: Two pals, @DogThunder and the very handsome @mattiedog have given me this award. I feel very honored and so pleased, and now I'm gonna follow the rules of the award. First, 10 things about me that you probably didn't know. This is not easy since u know lots about me already:- I am the "foodie" of the family. Pixel has her toys, but I'm the one who's always on the hunt for snackies.
- I help the cleaning lady. Several times each day I patrol all the rooms in the house to clean up every crumb that might make it's way to a floor, reachable counter surface or trash can.
- I stand 3'6" high with my paws on the kitchen counter.
- I open doors and cupboards with my paws. This includes the trash drawer.
- I love to block doorways so nobody leaves the room I'm guarding.
- I am continuing to train my Mommy. If she doesn't respond immediately to my bark to go outside, I leave her a "present". This I call "Pavlov's Human Training". The key to training is persistance.
- I have good manners. I do not jump on new people the way Pixel does.
- I don't have my gall bladder. They took it out last summer after it burst open.
- I am fearless. I'm not afraid of thunder, rain or other doggies.
- I was three years old when I was adopted by my Mommy. She was sick then, but I needed a home so I came and made her well again.

Our First Post
Hi Everybody. This is our first blog post. What to say and where to start? We're so used to havin to communicate in 140 characters on twitter, it's gonna take us a while to get used to talkin as much as we want.
JINNY: First things first. Two of my very good furriends, @DogThunder and my beloved flirty boy@mattiedog have given me the Honest Scrap Award. (You can find their links below on their blog sites to get to know them better). I was honored, surprised and so very excited about this So, in the next couple of days I am gonna figure out how to copy the Award Icon and then I will honor the rules of the Honest Scrap and list 10 things about me which are mostly unknown (well to be honest, my Mom knows them) and then I get to "pay it forward" and give this award to 10 of my well deserving friends.
We hope you will come back to see who gets nominated.
PIXEL: As usual, Jinny talks more than me, but I'll have some interestin stories eventually, I hope. Darn, where's the spell check on this site?
Bye Bye For Now.
